I am related to the Choates, Smiths, Goins, McMillans and Edwards of Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina.
I am the 11x great gand daughter of Michael Gowen of James City County, Virginia. Born 1635 who passed in 1717. And x12 great grandaughter of John Grawreere (who was the first African to free himself from his indentured servitude in North America) and Margaret Cornish.
