I have used DNA analysis to solve some of my family history connections.

I have traced my Iles Family to my 5G grandfather, John Iles (died 1817) of Halifax County, North Carolina who purchased 200 acres in 1763 and was granted 700 acres in 1780 from the State of NC. His grandson, James Iles, moved from North Carolina to Bledsoe County, Tennessee in 1830's and eventually settled in Sale Creek, Hamilton County prior to 1850.
