Bio
I am a son of Walter Bails Shriver [1905-1963] and Elizabeth A. Pasurka [1912-1994] both of Illinois; my paternal grandparents are Arthur Cecil Shriver, III, [1878-1949] and (first) wife Anna Luella 'Ella' Bails [1878-1918] both of Illinois; my paternal great grandparents are Charles Watts Shriver [1851-1906] and Ida Virginia Ramsey [1854-1918]; my paternal great great grandparents are Arthur Cecil Shriver, 1st [1813-1884] and wife Nancy Maffett [1815-1900] of Illinois by way of Kentucky and Ohio; my maternal grandparents are Charles Joseph Pasurka [1878-1960] and Martha Dorothea Schwake [1888-1994] of Germany and Illinois.
I'm overseas (ex-pat American) so it's hard to do any researching if the facts are not online. I'm looking at completing my trees for Shriver (US & Germany) , Bails (US & England), and Pasurka (US & Germany, Austria, Czech.), plus Henderson (UK), and Roothooft (Belgium - which is nigh on impossible).
I like linking up 'lost' family members here, and if a deceased person is known but does not (yet) have a FG ID number, PLEASE ADD [manually] a note of their name/s and date/s in a bio note on one of the parent's [or siblings] FG pages. Findagrave is a huge help (as is familysearch.com) in completing (and correcting) my family tree/s. However, one 'feature' that makes it much more helpful is when folks post a BIO NOTE and a published OBITUARY that names other relatives (and dates with locations if possible). But published original newspaper obits are the most useful.
Also, a little request of those generous and helpful folks who take gravestone PHOTOS; a close-up showing names and dates and inscriptions is great, but even more helpful would be another photo from a little greater distance showing (if possible) the surrounding stones of the same family (and their readable engraving, if possible); this can help us link to other family members who may not otherwise be known.
