I'm the larger being in the picture. The little guy was about 2 yrs old. There was a sale at the beach that day - a bucketful of Grandkid - $1. how could I resist?! He's a 6'1" college junior now!

I'm a happy retiree in Columbia SC. Like many other folks, I discovered Find A Grave while researching my own family history. My abysmal lack of "tech savvy" means I focus mainly on data entry. That's handy - I recently found a cache of about 400 newspaper obits from the 1990's. My minimal computer skills ensure I will likely be on "obit detail" for the duration. I hope I'll be a useful member of the community. Please pardon my technical errors, and feel free to point out my mistakes - COURTEOUSLY, please...you're not the boss o' me! :-)

My roots (and my heart - you KNOW what I mean) are in Portsmouth & Scioto County, Ohio. I visit the area far more often than I should, but it keeps calling me back. I am primarily interested in the descendants of Ephraim Jackson in the area. Due to the efforts of other Find a Grave members, I've located the graves of about twelve family and friends, and "met" my grandfather for the first time. Thanks, all.
