A US Air Force brat born in Atlantic Canada, but with roots in New England, the Northeast, and various Southeastern, Midwestern, and Southern states.
My father was William Brooks born in Southmayd, Grayson County, Texas in 1919 and died in Austin, Travis County, Texas in 2000:

yDNA testing revealed that an ancestor prior to my 2nd great grandfather was likely surnamed Love. A combination of sources has proven the correct lineage as represented on WikiTree and FamilySearch.
I value sources and will revise WikiTree and FamilySearch if alternate theories have better sources. A relationship copied a thousand times just means people are good at copying, not that they have the truth.
