Born in Chicago in 1955, I am the son of Norbert and Helen Kuroski. During my service in the US Army (1975-1979), I was stationed in West Berlin and worked as a German linguist/voice-intercept operator at Field Station Berlin. After my honorable discharge, I attended the Free University in Berlin but then went back to the States to complete my graduate studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I am currently the Quartermaster of VFW Post 1499 in Lexington, Virginia.
