My wife and I have been going through old family photos and family notes, as well as searching internet sources for cemeteries, graves, genealogy, and anecdotal histories. We have been visiting old country cemeteries to help confirm connections between family members, burial locations, and birth/death dates. (GPS location coordinates are embedded within the headstone photos we upload.)
Our families have roots in west Tennessee, with concentrations in Decatur, Henderson, Shelby, Crockett, and Gibson counties. Family surnames of primary interest are Gibson, Bailey, Boyd, Brown, Mensi, Emison, Bolton, and Crocker.
