I'm a Donaldson from Iredell County, NC. I've been researching the Piedmont Donaldson's for a number of years and it's my passion to try and untangle the dispersal of the Donaldson clan westward and southward. I have a particular specialty in the region between the Haw and Broad Rivers and would love to collaborate with anyone interested in the Carolina Donaldson Lines. I have Donaldson DNA relatives from NY, IL, TN & KY to SC, GA, AL, TX, & the West coast.
My husband is a Seamon (Simmons from German) from Davie County, NC. We can trace his line to Cabarrus County and the German settlement on Chaney Creek. DNA evidence has placed probable immigration patterns via Pennsylvania then Virginia. I'd love to work with anyone interested in this research.
As a matter of fact, I'd love to collaborate and share in the research for both families.
