I live close to Annapolis Royal and Port Royal, Nova Scotia. This area has lots of history and many relatively old gravesites.
My paternal family (Hayes) has been here for generations. My husband Chris Shaw and I have researched both his paternal and maternal lines (Shaw/Merry) which extend nine/seven generations in this area.
We have access to local documents as well as cemeteries in the area, including the Stoney Beach Cemetery. I've posted a few photos of headstones in this cemetery and keep an eye out for requests.
