I began my journey into genealogy at an early age. In 1958, I was already familiar with many cemeteries in the area and frequently visited them.

Growing up in my great-grandparents home, which was the first Methodist Parsonage, meant that one was only a block away. Another was about 1/2 mile, with lots of family in both.

In those days, families attended the country churches in the area where they lived and on special occasions they invited other family members to visit, and more cemeteries.

In 1974, I had a stroke and with frequent doctor visits brought visits to the library, which in turn meant working with others who were also researching. We kept in touch and had special meetings.

But my point is, I was a contributor of Findagrave in the early days. I deleted my previous account for personal reasons!

Coming back has only shown me how times may have changed but yet the people have not! Just like on the Social Media Sites, they act and say things they wouldn't say to your face.

The majority of the memorials that I manage are FAMILY CONNNECTIONS!
