A word, if I may: I don't love the bio pages that are basically a rant about all the things a user will and won't do. Find A Grave is a volunteer effort and works best, in my opinion, when everyone is friendly and respectful. Thanks in advance for helping to keep it that way.

So, a few personal (and friendly, I hope) guidelines that may help for those who would like to suggest edits. I do research all edits suggested, FWIW, but the below will help speed things along and reduce misunderstanding:

• Suggestions provided with documented sources are wonderful. If you have those, please let me know where to look. I'll search for those first. Thanks for being thorough.
• Family trees on Ancestry, FamilySearch, and elsewhere without verifiable source documents are consistently incorrect and not themselves reliable sources for verification.
• My personal choice is to decline copy-and-paste entries from Ancestry, FamilySearch, or other sources suggested for memorial bios. IMHO, these amount to clutter that push useful and meaningful content further down the page.
• Rule of thumb for nickname suggestions: Would the individual's friends have used it? Mama, Papa, and grandparent nicknames, as examples, don't make the cut. Sorry, Ma-Maw.
