I'm an avid family historian and love roaming old cemeteries and reading the headstones. My primary sources are Obits and B/M/D records. Often I would find a partially buried headstone. I would attempt to photograph and clear any major debris, sometimes with mixed results.

Note: It's Find a Grave - not Find a Headstone - There are a lot of unmarked graves. Also not everyone interred in the plot are guaranteed to be inscribed on the headstone. Another common occurrence I have seen is young babies being buried with grandparents who may have a different surname. So treat it as a new clue for your research :)

Boston - Mass (where most of my family is buried)

I've decided to adopt New Calvary - I've been attempting to photograph and fill in relationships and plot information often adding obits. Note there have been a number of memorials which have been mislabeled and actually belong in Mt Calvary. My goal is to have it 70% photographed up from the 15% in 2025.

Philadelphia Pennsylvania

While visiting family in these 2 cemeteries I have photographed the headstones around my loved ones to add to FG. I have not attempted to translate any of these other than to identify the name and dates for inclusion. Note Chinese often put their surname first followed by their given name.

Uploaded work I did back 2000-2005 when I lived in Massachusetts. I photographed many cemeteries in Marlborough, Hudson, Wayland , Sudbury, Weston, Southborogh and Natick, as well as selected markers in Holyhood.

Portland - Oregon

Completely photographed Section S (Dec 2024), Section R (Jan 2025) of Rose Cemetery in NE Portland. As well as portions of Section O and V. I am in the process of transferring these memorials to a local researcher. So if you want one - speak up.
