I am an eighth generation Pyatt/Pyatte and North Carolinian. I was born in Banner Elk, North Carolina in 1966 to Roger Dale Pyatt and Elaine Ruth Cook, but have lived in central Florida for the last 25 years. I am a retired Chief Missile Technician in the US Navy and a retired Firefighter/EMT in Brevard County, Florida. I am an avid historian, especially of the time period surrounding and including the US Civil War. I have many ancestors of Pyatt's and Cook's buried in western, North Carolina.
