I am a born and raised native of New Orleans, where I began exploring cemeteries at a young age. Our city has 51 of them. Basically, one or more in nearly every neighborhood.
Today, I am a professional cemetery tour guide. The bulk of my tours are of Saint Louis #1 (1789) and Saint Louis #2 (1823). However, I spend a lot of time in Metairie Cemetery (1872), now Lakelawn Cemetery where some of my family rests. Also Saint Roche Cemetery (1874) which is in my neighborhood.
