As a little girl I was always fascinated with the headstones in a cemetery adjoining our (then) family farm... At that time I didn't fully realize the story that those headstones carry. Now that I'm older my focus and curiosity is on what those inscribed span of years, months or days may have looked like.

My husband has a great love for the outdoors and has spent many days trekking the hillsides of East Tennessee. Even before we began a Find a Grave account he was always taking photos of secluded and often forgotten about cemeteries.

It's a pleasure to be a part of preserving the life stories of those who have gone before us.
