Kirk worked for 20 years at Quality Stores before starting his own commercial photography business, which he operated for nearly 25 years. He was a current member of Bridge Bible Church in Muskegon.

Kirk wanted you to know this: God loves you. He sent His son Jesus, who lived a sinless life, died for your sins, and then rose from the dead, all for His glory and your good. This is how you show your love to God: by trusting Him alone for your everlasting life, making Him the Lord of your life.

When once asked what piece of advice he would give his younger self, Kirk shared the following:

• Love the Lord, love people.

• Collect friends, not things.

• Live simply.

• Forgive and forget easily.

• The goal of life is to share Christ with others. Don't get sidetracked from this goal.
