Cemeteries bring me back to center. Life can be crazy and frustrating, but walking through the rows of headstones, looking at the names and dates and inscriptions and then wondering what type of life they had (or didn't have) helps put things into perspective for me. I believe everyone has a story. Most of them are never told, but their lives made an impact on someone in their world and it trickles down to every generation that follows.

I appreciate all of the volunteers on Find-A-Grave who are genuinely interested in preserving the memories of people they never knew for families they will probably never meet. That's a village I can live in.
