The irony I've learned through my loss is that my understanding of family is now much clearer.
While I believe regrets to be futile, I am still haunted by the lessons I've learned during my grief and wish I had known and practiced them sooner.
So while I may not know the number of my days, and would like to make the remaining ones meaningful; it appears my renewed opportunity, born through grief, is to apply these lessons to my remaining connections.
While my intentions on Find A Grave are self-serving in wanting to build a family tree, I am humbled by the hours and service put forth by this community.
