In April 2020, I started helping to catalog the Mennonite cemeteries in Lewis County, NY for the Adirondack Mennonite Heritage Farm. I am a granddaughter of Samuel and Lena Roes and also Reuben and Verna Yousey Roggie. I have been enjoying getting to know more of my own genealogy and I hope that I can help others by my additions to this site.

One of my sources I use is the book, Jacob and Catherine Zehr Roggie History and Genealogy book, by Arletha Zehr Bender Yoder. This can be purchased from the Adirondack Mennonite Heritage Farm in Croghan, NY.

Thank you to Edward Widrick who has contributed over 700 memorials to FindAGrave. He spent many hours visiting cemeteries, taking pictures of gravestones and adding memorials to this site. Since Edward passed away in November 2019, I have transferred some of his memorials of the Mennonites in Lewis County over to myself.
