Having had a parent (my father) die when I was 5 years old, I have been visiting cemeteries all of my life, and am comfortable in their serene beauty and tranquility.
Fast forward 50 years to the tragic death of my young adult son, I spent many hours at his grave, and cemetery, learning to acclimate my grief into my life. I spent much time, walking along the pathways, looking at gravestones and wondering about the lives of those resting there.
Fast forward another decade to retirement, how does one find meaning and purpose in their Golden Years?
As one who enjoys history, visiting cemeteries, and the challenge of discovery, photographing gravestones, especially completing photo requests, seems a perfect match for me.
