Looking back easing into genealogy began in 2003 when family members began to pass. Soon it became obvious that one of the biggest regrets in life had been not taking time to cultivate the specifics of the stories which were heard when growing up. However, at the time, not realizing that what had been started by carefully keeping and preserving the articles of their lifetimes, become the pictures and objects which now tell each of their stories.

For the most part, memorials currently managed are related ancestors (with a handful of friends who remained close throughout our family's lives). Spending time doing genealogy is not just collecting facts about those who have come before us, it is painting a picture in the minds of future generations of who they were, creating a connection into their pasts, breathing life back into their memorials and telling their stories.

These memorials are maintained so that future generations will be able to locate where some of our ancestors are buried; not to see how many can be managed/created.

When first going to visit a newly located memorial's physical location, it was often hard to locate the grave site. Therefore, when managing these memorials a commitment to add plot information, when possible is made; hoping to make those who follow this genealogical journey less cumbersome.
