I started looking for information on Find a Grave before I created a profile. After creating a profile, I started to add information from family records. Family names that I currently research are Farner, Steele, Smith, Flory, Winkler, Montgomery, Michel, and Shirley.

Within the last several years, I have gone to local cemeteries to take pictures of headstones that don't have photos and have uploaded them. As I find headstones that aren't already on Find a Grave, I create a memorial page for that person. I have started to post the obituary for the memorials I create, as I'm able to find them. They are useful for genealogy research and connecting family members. Out of respect, I edit out the information of the living relatives. If anyone wants me to further remove a part or all of an obituary, please contact me and I will make the edits. Summer is when I add most information to the site, as that is when I have the most free time.

A note about CRESTON/ CANAAN CENTER, OHIO CEMETERIES -

When an obituary states that a person is buried in "Canaan Cemetery," please confirm if it is "Canaan Center Cemetery" or "Canaan Cemetery." Most likely the burial is in "Canaan Center Cemetery" and not the one listed as "Canaan Cemetery" on Find a Grave. The one listed as "Canaan Cemetery" is also called "Canaan Lutheran Cemetery."
