I started doing family research in the early 90's on a school project, and fell in love with it. Between college and starting a career, I took too long of a break from it. Recently got back into it when my wife's grandfather died. She wanted us to be the ones to add his memorial, and we did.

I'm descended from Whitfield, Clayton, Moore, Hester, Dixon, Bradsher, Berry and many more from the Person County NC area.
My wife is descended from Pittman, Sims, Catoe, Gardner families in the Lancaster County, SC area, as well as the Smith, Fields, Ramey, and Spurlin families in the Allegheny County NC/Galax VA area.
I love adding pictures of people to the site! FindAGrave is an awesome resource, and for me, the best part is being able to put a face with the name. Makes it so much more personal.
I also enjoy making the connections between family members. This website is an unreal source for family trees. In some ways, I like it even better than finding people on Ancestry.
