I have been going to cemeteries on my lunch hour to hopefully fulfill picture requests an add GPS to graves that do not yet have them.
I am not about the numbers just trying to document those that have not been added to the site. This is something that has helped me deal with love ones that have passed making sure they are not forgotten.
My goal is to add memorials now while the weather permits me to get outside and later when time allows to go back and add family info and such.
If you know the people I have added and would like to manage them please send a request and I will transfer them to you, they can be friends, neighbors, family or associates it does not have to be a close relative for me to transfer them. However I will still keep those that are my family.
Please don't be offended if I add photos to graves that already have photos it is usually just to document the changes in the marker, good or bad since last photos were taken.
Find A Grave is a collaborative effort and if we all give what we can, some walking cemeteries that others no longer can, taking pictures, marking GPS, or those that are homebound and can do the research then we can honor those who have passed on and make sure they are never forgotten.
I remind myself that maybe my efforts will help others locate a love ones grave or add the missing info that others are looking for as they document their family history.
