Can I post genealogical Records on the memorials you manage??
Yes, you may post genealogical records death, birth, marriage, census, military, and obituaries on any of my managed memorials, for records that can confirm an identity or family relationship of those on the memorial. Find a Grave requires that living people NOT be listed in an obituary.
What can't I post on Find a Grave??
As per Find a Grave's terms of service--Posting of animated GIFS, MIDIS (music files), or other non-personal images are NOT allowed in the photo section of a memorial page. Non-personal images include flowers, angels, flags, banners, coats of arms, etc. These types of images can be added when you Leave a Flower. Custom Icons and Virtual Flowers can be added to your Scrapbook.
I manage several non-family member memorials. I will gladly transfer any non-family memorial to any of their family. If you want to request a transfer, please, use the "Suggests Edits" then use the "Contact Manager" on the memorial page. Please, be a contributor and not just a collector of memorials.
About Veteran's markers - If there is a state listed on the marker, it is where that person enlisted, not necessarily where they were born.
Note: Find a Grave has changed its abbreviation from FaG to FG.
Fun Fact: You have 2 parents, 4 grandparents, 8 great-grandparents and 16 great-great-grandparents, and by the time you go back 10 generations - 300 years or so- you have 1,024 people from whom you are directly descended. --Mady Castro & Richard Jordan.
