If you're looking for a photo, the best course of action is to call the cemetery to get the plot location and add it the info to this site. It's easier for people to fulfill those requests if they know where to look. I've walked entire cemeteries reading every headstone to try and location my ancestors. That's easy to do in a small cemetery. In very large cemeteries it's nearly impossible to locate someone without the plot location.

Since I am near Forest Lawn Glendale, Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills and Hollywood Forever I fulfill more requests at those locations. Forest Lawn has a searchable grave database on their website, which is an excellent resource. It's not 100% accurate. I have found memorial tablets for people that are not in their online database, I don't think these people are famous. I have noticed that famous people are filtered out of the database. I have also found spelling 'interpretations'. For example, a couple by the last name La Sance (per their tablet) was in the database as Lasance. You have to have the exact spelling for the search to work. If you're searching the database get creative, try only putting in a last name or using a spelling variation.

If I'm fulfilling a request, I check the adjacent graves to see if there are additional people with the same last name. Often those photos are missing too. I have no problem transferring memorials if you make a request.
