I'm just somebody who not only loves learning about history and advocating for its accurate and thorough documentation, but also wants to connect and connect others to the concept of death and memorializing those who have died.

More selfishly, I enjoy looking into the pasts of my ancestors and the relatives I have known in my past. In choosing not to have children of my own, I feel an especially strong connection to past as well as future generations and want to honor that connection. Utilizing crowdsourced information obliges me to help grow it.

Inevitably, other history enthusiasts and personal history-seekers who have yet to exist will stumble across this page and it's possible I am a distant relative of them or a complete stranger.

Leaving my mark is incredibly important to me, especially as somebody who has grown up in the aftermath of the birth of an almost-totally-free internet, personal computers, and smartphones. Accomplishing this has become easier than ever.

And in contributing information to this site, I hope to supply more interest and motivation to others---whether living, dead, or yet to be born---in seeking out their genealogical history and memorializing the people who have passed on. Perhaps I can even inspire them to do what I am doing today.
