I am the daughter of Charles Emmert and Edna Earle (Cumiford) Jones. William Ray Jones is my brother, and Sarah Jane "Jennie" Cable Shaffer is my great grandmother. Elias Shaffer was my great grandfather. My grandfather was William Raymond Jones whose father was James T. Jones, Wales, and my grandmother was Emma Estella (Shaffer) "Stella" Jones. Name on her headstone in Richland Cemetery, Johnstown, PA, is Stella Jones. Sarah Ebaline (Horton) Jones, wife of James T. Jones, was my great grandmother.
I have seen records saying my grandmother's name was Emma Estelle and Emma Estella. I now believe her name was Emma Estella (Shaffer) "Jones. Her mother's maiden name was Cable. My grandmother was known as Stella so it makes sense that her middle name was Estella--not Estelle, so as time permits, I will make changes. I have spent a lot of time trying to find a record with her correct name but had no luck.
Squire Thomas 1833 and his son, James T. Jones 1859 - 1906 were born in Wales. Ann (Jones) Davis, daughter of Squire Thomas Jones was also born in Wales.
