I am researching my Rogers family genealogy and trying to solve the identity of the father to Rev William Rogers ~1792/7 VA?-1869 Estill County, Kentucky. Also trying to find the connection between Rev William Rogers and James Isaac Rodgers ~1812-1897 Saint Francois County, Missouri. Descendants from both men have exact matching yDNA haplgroups and STR markers.
SNPs positive for our Rogers family-
R1b-M269 P312 Z290 L21 DF13 DF21 Z30233 FGC3903 S5199 Z246 DF25 DF5 ZZ32 L1403 L1402 A818 A426 FT47463 FTA2007 BY82531
Also discovered through yDNA testing that the descendants of Hiram Rogers, once believed brother of Rev William Rogers, do not match. Descendants of Hiram Rogers match closely to Rameys descending from French immigrant Jacob Remy. If anyone has found any connection between the Rogers and Ramey family please let me know. Other close yDNA matches to Hiram descendants are Berry and Pelphrey though those lines appear to have had a surname switch from Ramey.
