Bio

About 5 years ago mum asked for a dna test for her 80th birthday. I organised it. That set in train a deep investigation into family history which is still going, but I think now nearer to finishing than starting. The main tree trunk and most major branches (2GGPs) are in place, and now getting some 5GGP confirmations. But still plenty of even relatively close dna matches which are mysteries. Meeting, virtually, quite a few 2nd and 3rd cousins, also interested (driven, obsessed) about resolving family history - in some cases trying to discover grandparents and great grandparents, usually on the male side.

Thanks to Find A Grave volunteers. So often the headstones are so much more than memorials, they ground a sense of place. And not only confirm other records but give vital directions missed in records.
