Bio
I was born and raised in Carlisle, Cumberland (as was, and is soon to be again!)
My paternal family are the Shaw family, predominantly from West Cumberland
My maternal family are Elliott and White families, both based around Farlam parish - mines, quarries and railways. The Elliott's were originally from Allenhead area of Northumberland.
Occasionally I visit cemeteries in the locality, so if I can I will look for other memorials. Any plot numbers etc. would help (sometimes)
