I am a retired United States Coast Guardsman, having served my nation with dedication for three decades. The Find a Grave website has proven to be an invaluable tool in my pursuit of locating the burial sites of my family's ancestors. I regularly visit cemeteries in search of missing relatives' gravestones that may not be recorded in the database or lack a photograph. I also check the database for pending photo requests that I can fulfill during my visits. My hope is that my research, tracking, and photography efforts will not only aid in my own family tree searches but also assist other families in their genealogical pursuits.
