My Murray ancestors came from Ireland and settled in the Rockhampton area; many descendants are still there.

I knew my Paternal Great grandmother from Ireland she talked about our family back in Ireland. I grew up knowing her descendants.

I met and knew several of my paternal grandmother's siblings. She told me her Ancestor's names and gave me photos of her family; her son was in contact with family in Australia and Ireland.

I started my research using micro-fische, Birth, Death and Marriage Certificates also reading history books, old newspapers etc. I DO NOT RELY ON DEATH CERTIFICATES FOR YEAR OF BIRTH etc, I do more research.

I have contact with many distant cousins who keep each other updated, especially my cousin, the south Queensland cemetery walker.

Family members have been to Ireland and met our Irish family.

I have done my Ancestry (DNA).
