I know how frustrating it can be when you're researching your family tree and so many gravestones are in a bad state of disrepair, weathered beyond recognition, pushed over, lying face-down, or simply eroded by time.

If you're anything like me and enjoy tracing your family roots, you'll understand how valuable it is to come to a website or group like this and actually find the ancestors you're looking for. For many people who live far away, it can save a long journey and offer peace of mind.

I'm trying to catalogue and photograph as many of our local graveyards as possible — every headstone, every plaque, every inscription that can still be read.

If a stone is unreadable, I will still photograph it and mark it clearly as such. Some graves are sadly unmarked, but I include those too so nothing is missed.

If you notice that a loved one is missing from my uploads, or if you spot something that looks incorrect, please do let me know — I'm very happy to update and correct anything.
