I began researching my family tree a few years ago with my late mother and aunt. I have continued in their memory.

I discovered Find a grave when researching family graves. It was the help of one really incredible volunteer in Bedford that inspired me to 'give back' and do my best to help others by photographing graves to help their family research..

I particularly try to document as many of the older Victorian graves as I can in an effort to preserve them before they are gone . I hope that this will help family members locate the grave in years to come. Out of respect , I do not photograph the newer graves ( in the last 40 years) unless specifically requested by a family member or the condition of the grave is such that it might be lost. I always treat each memorial with respect, remembering the love that they were created with. Every life is precious and each of those remembered in a memorial on here are not forgotten.

Please feel free to use any photographs of headstones that I have taken for personal use. But I would ask that you do not copy or reproduce any personal photographs of the deceased person included.

If one of the memorials I have photographed is your family member please feel free to request a transfer. It would be my pleasure to re-unite you.

My focus is photographs and inscriptions ( when they are readable). We have some other amazing volunteers at the cemetery who are much better researchers and historians than myself who have been doing the most amazing job !
