Several years ago, I became when interested in genealogy, when my parents purchased a WebTV, that had a family tree maker on it. I went to that family tree maker, typed in my name, my parent's name, my great-grandparents name and my great-great grandparents name on each side to see how far I could get. Over the years, I began collecting vital records to learn my heritage and found that I had French, English, Irish and Scottish heritage within my family heritage. Over the lockdown, during the pandemic, due to all the closures, I was unable to go to the print shop or the library to research my family roots on Ancestry.
During the pandemic, my library gave me access to Ancestry, that was available on their website, so I was able to do a little research. On my mother's side of the family, I traced the ancestors from Chippewa Township, in Isabella County, Michigan, to Gratiot County, Michigan, to Pierce County, Washington and now I am arriving back home again.
My mother died during the lockdown, and I vowed I would finish a copy of her side of the family, along with biographical notes, as well as pictures and vital records in her memory and will do the same in memory of my father, on his side of the family, as well.
