My research is centered mainly in the USA, Mid-western, Iowa, Nebraska and Oklahoma, specifically. Before settling in the Mid-West, my ancestors immigrated from Eastern Europe, specifically Germany by way of Russia in the early to mid-1700's.
They took the Catherine II (Catherine the Great's), empress of Russia's offer to settle in the Volga Region of Russia They are considered ("Palatine Germans") bringing its own challenges in language necessary for reading documents necessary for research and verification!
