I joined Find a Grave for reasons of exploring my genealogy.

I also have memberships with Folds3, Ancestry, and Family Search (awesome site).

I have had my DNA examined under 23 & Me and under Ancestry. They both had similar findings. Ancestry includes, English, Irish, French, German, Scottish, Northern European, and yes, 2% sub-saharan (LOL).

I was born in Cumberland, MD in Sacred Heart Hospital in 1967 to Claudia E. Sisler Barnes and Terrence Lee Broadwater. My dad has one brother and he is currently still alive and has one son. I have 1 whole sister who is still alive, 1 half sister who died at age 29 in 2002, 2 more half sister, and a half brother.

I am an Iraqi Freedom combat veteran and I am married to a veteran as well.

I currently live in Cumberland with my husband and a few pets. I work as a federal contractor. I love history, I love to to travel, and genealogy is my newest hobby. I have found quite a bit of stuff lately and it gets more exciting each time I dive into anything I find.
