I am following in my grandfather's footsteps on my dad's side and trying to track my genealogy for the Sumner, Shaffer, Axtell, Anderson, Barber and Conn side of the family. My father Robert M. Sumner passed away in 2013 and he was cremated and I am in possession of his ashes. When my mother passes, Cheryl Shaffer, he will be buried with her as per his wishes. He said "I don't care where I go, as long as it's with your mom"

My grandfather Robert Sumner found thousands of family members even before Ancestry was invented and kept a physical record of everything he found. Sadly it was all lost with his death as my step uncle took everything so all I have now are his profiles here on Find a Grave and Ancestry and the book he made me when I was younger and this has become my hobby now.

I am a mom of 4 kids and I raise my 3 step kids and have been running a home business for several years. My business's name is Little Home Mades on Etsy. I also have an eBay shop and an Amazon shop that I run full time. When I started my specialty was Baby Showers. I still make the centerpieces and every cake design and every order is done by me personally and I've sold over 6,000 diaper cakes on Etsy alone. I've also transitioned to creating family plaques and family trees. I enjoy learning about my own history and about others and helping them piece their families together in a lifelong keepsake. On my downtime I search up my ancestry and I will take walks through the nearby Cemeteries. My husband is William Michael Clarke, his mother's side of the family is the Capuzzi whom are mostly buried in Morefield Cemetary and his father's side of the family is buried in America's Cemetery or as we call it, 444 Flags.

They were fire fighter chiefs and veterans so I often visit the Clarkes and Laycocks, especially Estella Scarmack who was a good soul who would do anything for her nephew and his children. She will be greatly missed. But while there, I like to try and collect photos of the other memorials to upload here to help others find their loved ones. I find the old fashion 1800 style stones to be especially beautiful because of the craftsmanship that goes into making them so if I see a cemetery full of them, I do tend to stop just to look at them and gather photos to share with others.

As far as FAG goes, I am seeking out memorials and graves because I know what it's like to want that and not know where it is, like my grandfather, who was cremated and my step uncle took his ashes and we have no idea what he did with them. The man who made it his mission to hunt down our lineage with every detail he could find and document it, and my step uncle couldn't even be bothered to write up an obituary, have a funeral or a proper burial for him as my father and my aunt would have done if they were still here, we don't even know where his ashes are and that's incredibly frustrating.

I want to make sure if someone is looking for their family, they will find them.
