My initial purpose of being on Find A Grave was to add information to existing memorials. My mother started collecting information from relatives in the 1970's and 1980's. I collected most of my photos and more detailed family history from elderly relatives in the 1990's, and a few since then, so decided to share them before I am also in a grave. Unfortunately, I lost track of who gave me what, but I printed many copies of family history books at that time and no one disputed the identification of any of the photos.

I'm also adding some photos and information for my husband's family that includes a number of old photos that belonged to his mother. Fortunately they were labeled!

My other purpose of being on Find A Grave is to take cemetery photos of gravestones that are newer or were missed. I had no intention of doing this, but am finding it addicting! If any of my photos are poor quality due to lighting or cemetery conditions and a better one exists, I would be happy to remove mine rather than have duplicate grave photos.

If you run across any memorials I manage and you are closer to the person, I would be happy to transfer it to you. A big THANK YOU to those who transferred my relatives to me! It's nice to be able to make immediate updates and arrange photos.
