Hello, my name is Adrian. A bit about me. I am proud to have deep family roots in the United States having a diverse background of African American, Native American-Choctaw, Cherokee, Creek, Blackfoot, Huron, Canadian, Hispanic, and European Heritage dating back to colonial America, having descendants on the Mayflower and the forming of the original 13 colonies, revolutionary war veterans, civil war, WW1, WW2, and other notable historic events. My 3rd Great-Grandfather Charles Schmedlen and his brother William Henry Schmedlen were instrumental for the sale of their carriage factory and patent in Cold Water, Michigan which William C. Durant purchased which lead to the creation of GM and factory 1 in Flint, Michigan it being mentioned in his book "The Deal Maker". I was on a carriage team directed by Mike West to restore a 1901 Standard Vehicle Carriage from Pontiac, MI on feature at Pontiac Transportation Museum. As for my Michigan & Oakland County heritage having some of the first early settlers of Farmington, Hartland, Brighton, Wixom, Milford, and Pontiac and many others to list. I am related to the founder of the Woodward Dream Cruise, Nelson Charles House. I am a lover of everything old and historic I lived in a historic home built in 1891 owned by Joshua Hill in Pontiac, Michigan for 21 years. A collector of antiques and I had a spot at Digs Consignment of Waterford and Pontiac Street Consignments for many years. I bought many items at auctions and garage sales the museum had and I would contribute regularly donating things to help with the sales. Education I attended A.H.C.S. being honor role 3.0 and higher & graduated from T.C.C.H.S. taking advanced classes and gaining certificates in sciences, history, & arts. I was on the student government & leadership teams; I was featured in the Troy & Oakland Newspapers for participating in PEACE Academy, Pontiac book donations, reading, & volunteering at Oakridge Senior Living, Troy. I attended many classes that Ron Campbell held at the Oakland County Building about historic architecture and preservation gained 2 certificates attending classes. Additionally attending 5 seminars held by La Vere Webster at the Oakland Township Historical Society on analyzing antique glass, furniture, paintings, and conservation/restoration gaining a certificate. I am a past member of the Oakland County Historical Society, I helped with the House Committee and displays along with my grandmother and other volunteers to decorate the Wisner House, a past Board of the Directors for the Oakland County Historical Society, and helped with presentations/computer work for the Small Talk/Mini Lecture Series hosted by my grandmother. I was a proud member for 15 years with my grandmother and joined the board in 2016 at 16 years old serving for 8 years till 2023 at Pine Grove. Many of the events and things I helped with are mentioned in the Oakland Gazette. I was an active tour guide and presenter at the Pontiac Transportation Museum and known for my automotive heritage. I was featured in the Oakland Press numerous times, and on channels 2, 4, 7 Detroit and last news coverage about running for the Pontiac Charter Commission. I had special art exhibits at the DIA several years in a row off the Rivera Gallery. I was the set decorator for the Movie Wake 2023 using my private collection, filmed by Sam Logan at the Wisner House. I have been an actor and extra in several movies and shows with the Auburn Moon Productions my last show being the Patty Mayo series. I helped to participate in parades in Pontiac & Waterford and cemetery walks as a tour guide, actor, and presenter at Oak Hill Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan in the fall. I am a past member of the Waterford Genealogical Society. Past attending and volunteering with the Pontiac Rotary Club, West Bloomfield Rotary Club and special featured on the West Bloomfield News Channel for my private collection of over 200 artifacts and the tour for the Rotary Club at the Wisner House, and current member of the Pontiac Lions Club. The artifacts included pieces from the underground railroad movement the Sibley House, and special display of original artifacts I purchased from Charles Fisher Mansion Summer Home, Lake Angelus, MI (now torn down). the I also would help with my home churches First Church of Worship & Praise and Mt. Zion of Clarkston, Michigan being apart of the young adults and volunteering for V.B.S., coffee bar, theater, concerts, and events. While in Florida I have been featured in the Mayo Press, Keith Gross visit & Tallahassee Democratic Newspaper at the Goodwin Museum for the 200 year celebration. I actively dig each day deeper into my family roots and many families making sure documentation is correct. Additionally I hunt thrift stores, antique stores & Facebook marketplace for old pictures and documents to help provide other families an opportunity to have these presented on Ancestry & FindaGrave.com. I check my messages and emails daily and will update any additions or corrections to graves I manage. I accept anyone who would like to give any memorials to me, a handful of them are of my family. I have a certificate of completion Howard T. Odum Florida Springs Institute Springs Academy June 11th, 2025. I manage graves for both in Oakland County managing over 32,180+ & currently managing over 2,291+ graves in Lafayette County, FL, and many in surrounding counties in Northern, FL. I actively travel Florida and networked with the Live Oak and Lake City Historical Societies in regard to the cemeteries and locations. I am currently helping with the Day Historical Society and the Day Cemetery in regards to those buried there managing majority of the graves there.
