Many of the photos I've been posting have been taken from a photo album of my grandmother's (Esther Evans MacDonald 1895–1984), that spanned 1908 to 1914. Most of the photos were taken on or near the Purdue University campus in West Lafayette, Indiana. She grew up in a house adjacent to campus, attended West Lafayette High School (class of '13) and graduated from Purdue in 1917. My father grew up in the same house as my grandmother, was also a West Lafayette graduate (1947) and a Notre Dame graduate ('51). I grew up in Lafayette, Indiana, and attended Purdue for graduate school. Now a full time artist, I live in western Massachusetts.
I'm posting these photos of individuals – friends and acquaintances of my grandmother–so they will not be lost nor their names forgotten.
