I have a B.A. in Irish Studies and a certificate in Photography from Concordia University in Montreal. I am currently on the Board of the St. Patrick's Society of Montreal and an executive member of the Canadian Irish Migration Preservation Network. Our mission with the CIMPN is to document Canadian Irish historical sites and preserve for future generations. One area we are working in is the digital preservation and mapping of cemeteries which includes geneolgical profiles. Cemeteries are an under valued primary source of a community's heritage. I hope to research the cultural memory of an early Irish settlement through their cemeteries and their importance to our Canadian history.
