Regarding Find a Grave Memorials: I mean no disrespect to anyone deceased or their survivors. I believe in keeping records of those who have passed on before us and their burial places. Where I have photographed graves the weather, the elements, storms, hurricanes and lack of maintenance to graves can eventually erode them. I see many graves that receive no permanent grave stones at all and are only marked by the flimsiest of temporary markers. So I consider photographing graves very important as the grave markers can disappear entirely and will probably erode or disappear eventually in the mists of time ahead of us.

It really bothers me when people aren't accorded some kind of a permanent gravestone or marker after they die. I tend to leave virtual flowers on those memorials.

Please don't upload your eroded, unreadable, bad photos of grave markers for others to transcribe. If you can't read or remember what's on a grave marker, don't expect that others can figure it out.

Regarding Edit Suggestions I send you: If you have some personal preferences about the memorials you manage and what info you do or don't want on them (that are your personal preference and have nothing to do with FG's rules) then at least put that information on your profile so others aren't left wondering why you whimsically disapprove perfectly legitimate edit suggestions.

And finally: don't be a jerk to other Find a Grave members! This is a collaborative site. If you don't work well with others, perhaps you shouldn't be managing memorials.
