Gary Good
President and founder of Gary Good Entertainment & Speakers Bureau, Gary attended school in Oklahoma including John Marshall, Oklahoma Military Academy and The University of Central Oklahoma. Gary started his company in 1970 where the primary business was entertainment booking and producing. A band leader and musician for nearly 15 years, Gary grew up in the world of music and entertainment. His father, Al Good was a long time nationally known orchestra leader and his mother, Bettie Dunham Good was a vocalist. Good followed suit and was a bandleader himself for nearly 15 years. Deciding to leave the stage and concentrate on the business of booking and producing shows, Gary retired from performing in 1984. At this point his business began to flourish. Booking artists such as Toby Keith, Sheryl Crow, Jewel, Don Henley, Doobie Brothers and hundreds of others, Good concentrated on private and corporate events as well as festivals. Adding the speakers bureau in 1986 and expanding operations to include the entire United States, Canada and Mexico. The speakers bureau started out mainly booking celebrity speakers such as sports figures, actors and entertainers because of his affiliation and knowledge of the entertainment industry. Diane Keaton, Debbie Reynolds, Bart Starr, Lee Greenwood are a few of the names Good has booked for speaking events. Several entertainers or actors booked their first speaking engagement through his company.
Upon the death of his father in 2003, Good started a project in his honor called The Al Good Instruments for Kids Project. The funds are housed at The Oklahoma City Community Foundation, and the focus is putting instruments into kids hands who could otherwise not afford them. Instruments include brass, woodwinds, strings, keyboards and percussion.
In 2006, Intrigued by the historic buildings, Good began investing in downtown Guthrie, opening Gallery Grazioso on Oklahoma's 100th birthday
November 16, 2007. The gallery features an eclectic mix of fine art, photography, and collectibles, with an ever present slant towards music.
Then in 2011, Good added a bed and breakfast in honor of his mother called Suite Bettie Jean, a boutique hotel called Magnolia Manor and an event center called Magnolia Moon, all together known as Guthrie Retreat.
Family members include; Brother Ron Good, Sister Pattie Good, Daughters Margo Goodall and Andrea Good, Grandchildren Cass Cagle and Haleigh Foster, and 6 Great Grandchildren. Gary married Cristina Good on May 30, 2015
