I joined to add my Grandparent's unpublished obituaries that I wrote for Geneology purposes.
Just the highlights:
I'm a 6th generation descendant of Levi Thomas Jacobs and Sarah Wierman via their youngest child, Charles Albert Jacobs, from Adams County, PA moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa with some of their adult children's families. They had 10 children with 4 passing by age 3. This move included Hannah's family, the Dellingers. Sarah Dellinger remained with the family for her whole life and is buried with the Jacobs in council Bluffs. We have a photocopy of the Jacobs Family Bible. Dad is trying to obtain the original Bible, the last person who had it passed. A photograph of John HK Jacobs in his Union Civil War Uniform was given to Dad from an extended relative. This was donated to Adams County Historical Society in Fall of 2023 and a scan uploaded to Family Search Family Tree KHDV-CTJ and Find-a-Grave in Spring 2024. https://www.achs-pa.org/ to plan a visit to their record room or Beyond the Battle museum. There are monuments with John HK Jacobs name on them in Gettysburg National Park. Other surnames in the list of my direct descendants include Carmen, Richter, Wierman. Levi and Sarah's children and grandchildren included the following surnames: Dellinger, Bachman, Sadowski, Delashmutt, Koch.
I'm Sansei (3rd generation descendant) Kaneko from Asahi, Noda-shi, Chiba-ken, Japan. They were Japanese Christians. I do not know if they were Catholic or Protestant. I only know that Obasan was a born-again believer (Protestant) and she said that she received salvation while in Japan. She usually chose Baptist or Presbyterian churches in America. I gather that her parents were of a similar faith. Great grandfather was serving in the Imperial Japanese Army stationed in Korea during the occupation. He had also been to Manchuria. He died in 1930s. Obasan's sister died in the Tokyo bombing during WWII. Obasan said that she used to work in Hiroshima after the war. She said eat your vegetables and you won't get cancer. She met Grandpa at the American Army Base.

I include informal adoptions in my family tree. I think it's important who cared for someone and not just the bloodline. The relationships we choose are important. I'm an adoptive stepmother so I may be biased. I mark step-relatives as adoptive relatives if there is evidence of it. Some people leave them out of the family tree and that just doesn't represent reality. If personal interviews do not indicate a close relationship then I mark them "step" and move on. FamilySearch only has a few options.
