I'm a retired businessman, and I enjoy working on family history as a hobby. I was born in Seattle and now live with my wife and three cats just south of Olympia, the capital of Washington State, USA. My dad's ancestry primarily came through Iowa, whereas my mom's parents both emigrated with their families from England to British Columbia, Canada. My maternal grandfather was British, while my maternal grandmother was Scottish; one of her lines traces back to 503 A.D.
