Hi. My name is Rebecca "Becky" Hemmingson Smit. My parents are Mark and Victoria "Vickie" Hemmingson. My grandpa was Leland Hemmingson and my grandma was Margaret Zoe Brenneman. My grandma Zoe was adopted. My other grandpa was Robert Ralph Richardson and my grandma was Gertrude Marion Harvey. I married Brent Allen Smit. I have 4 kids. I have one sister Eleanor "Ellie" Hemmingson Popeney who is married to Justin Popeney. They reside in Sioux City. They have 3 children. I was born and raised in Le Mars, Iowa. My family briefly lived in Victor and Webster City, IA. I graduated from Le Mars High School in 2002. I went to the University of South Dakota and the University of Northern Iowa and graduated from UNI with a teaching degree in 2008. I met my first husband Zachariah Allan Stephenson in Waterloo in 2006. We married 6/30/07 and had two children- a boy in 2008 and a girl in 2009. I moved back to Le Mars, IA in December of 2010. I married my 2nd husband Matthew Eugene Ryba (a friend from high school) 5/25/13 in Le Mars and had a son in 2013. 10/9/16 I married my 3rd husband Brent Allen Smit. We had a son in 2017. Brent and I moved to Orange City, IA where he is from in December 2018.
