∼If you want a death certificate removed from a memorial I have sent edit suggestions for and you are an immediate relative marked in green, send me a message with the name of your relative and their memorial number and I will promptly remove it. Managers not related to the deceased can request its removal through Find A Grave support, but please keep in mind that death certificates up until the early 1970s are in the public domain and do not go against Find A Grave guidelines. If you have found a death certificate I have added has a distressing and non-health related cause of death that's still visible, please let me know and I will immediately delete it and white out the cause of death before re-adding it. Thank you.

∼If I have created a memorial for your relative in Cedar Hill Cemetery (or any cemetery) and you wish to manage it, send me a transfer request through the "contact manager" button in "edit suggestions" with how you're related (and no, it doesn't matter if you're their 5th cousin 4x removed, though more immediate relatives are preferred) and I'll be happy to transfer them and any additional relatives I'm currently managing who belong in your tree. If the photo of your plot shows there is no headstone or marker, the likelihood that your relative's headstone/marker has sunk into the ground and is covered over with grass growth, has toppled and and is covered over by soil and other debris or is now a tree, had broken and was removed by the cemetery, or it simply never existed is a good 50%. If you are planning to visit the plot of someone I have photographed in Greenwood Cemetery, please be very careful if you have any physical limitations. Many of the stones I have photographed are located in the overgrown part of the cemetery that is basically a forest at this point. There are tripping hazards absolutely everywhere and not one pathway making that entire part of the cemetery not wheelchair accessible, so please proceed with caution.

For any and all edits I suggest, please make sure to look at the photos on that memorial and their relatives' memorials as I will always make sure to leave verified information backing up my edit suggestions.

∼if you see someone I have created a memorial for doesn't have burial details, it is only because those details are currently a brick wall within my own family tree but still actively being worked on. It does not mean that these people do not exist, that I have a bunch of misinformation about them, nor that another memorial for them exists elsewhere on the site. Any information you may have or find about the final location of these relatives is greatly appreciated, but please don't create a new memorial for them.

∼If you would like for me to transfer a memorial I'm related to, please explain your relationship to that person. If you are a direct descendent, I will not hesitate to transfer the memorial page over to you with the exception of any of my aunts and uncles (including child-free or living descendent-free great aunts and uncles), my grandparents and any of my great grandparents no matter how far back they go. I will not transfer management of any of my relatives' memorials that I maintain to anyone who is not also a relative as I would like to keep each family tree in my forest as connected as possible. If I request a transfer from you and you are a closer relative of the person I am requesting, just shoot me a message so I can feel sheepish and then ignore that I even asked.

If you wish to use any family photos or photos of headstones I have added to ancestry.com and/or Find A Grave in your Ancestry tree, feel free to do so but please do give credit to where you found it. You may not reproduce, alter, nor sell any of these photos. All of my photos are unedited outside of occasional adjustment with the zoom feature in my phone's photo editor for a closer shot of a stone. You may not copy and paste any written works without giving credit and without my express permission. You may not use any of my headstone nor family photos for any reason involving monetary gain. If you are a relative of mine and can prove lineage to any of the branches in my memorial tree, you may crop family photos to get headshots for your ancestry tree (and don't forget to say "hi, cousin!") Please do not share any family photos I have added to other social media sites unless you are a relative and have asked me first.

∼Current fact-checked sources for my family tree:

The Spain Family Bible

• started by Herbert Paul Spain (grandson of Sarah Church Hall and Edward Spain, and 2nd great grandson of Ann Newbury and Captain Edward Spain) with the help of a professional genealogist and his, at the time, living relatives in order to collect an inheritance. Herbert passed this information on to his daughter-in-law, Ida Bowers Spain (née Cole) who copied it all down (along with additional information from another family Bible in possession of Herbert's half brother, Frank Coulter Spain) into the record book the family still uses today. Before her death, she passed this family treasure down to her third son, Ernest Joslin Spain. He passed it down to his daughter, Leslie Spain, about 13 years ago. The most recent addition to the record book was born in 2025. There are over 250 years worth of names, birth dates, death dates, family connections, some burial locations, and a handful of obituaries noted in this book, as well as a few friends of the Coulter family (see Joshua Hall Coulter.) I have thoroughly reviewed this book and made all needed corrections, to which there were less than a handful.

This book was created from multiple people sending in information about their Coulter family lines as made very clear by the dedication page that states "Thanks to each and every member of our Coulter Clan for the help and sharing of information. This is a project that would have been impossible without everyone's input." In my personal and professional opinion, this book was a bit haphazardly thrown together.
• IMPORTANT: This Coulter family is of no relation to my Coulter family and should not be confused with them. If you're related to people in this book, I'm sorry but we are very likely not cousins.
