Manokin's cemetery holds a significant part of its history. On August 23, 1959, Rev. Chad Combs delivered a sermon called "What Lies Beyond?" that focused on overcoming the fear of death. He noted that the church cemetery was "an integral part of Manokin." Here rest the remains of many individuals who contributed to the fabric of Manokin's history throughout their lives.

The cemetery was enlarged in 1891 and many shade trees were planted by the Rev. W.H. Logan. In 1899 the new part of the graveyard was "laid out in squares". In 1901 at a trustees' meeting, a motion was made that "a plat be filed showing the location of all lots sold and unsold" in the graveyard. An entry of December 5 in the Church Committee's minutes book (page 95) included a list of the names of those to whom new lots in the "Annex" were sold The cemetery was again enlarged in 1915 according to Church Committee minutes, by an additional twenty-five full-sized lots in the "west end of the garden lot and running east and the length of five regular-sized lots."
